RABBI LONNIE BRADSHAW
Ordained Rabbi
Growing up in the Minneapolis area in the Orthodox tradition, Rabbi Lonnie received his BS in Animal Science and his BA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota in 1987. He decided to pursue rabbinic studies in 2002, and began his studies at TKU in Van Nuys, CA in 2010. He is pursuing his doctorate in Messianic Jewish Leadership at Netzer David Yeshiva in St. Petersburg, FL. He is ordained by the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations and formerly served as the UMJC Western Regional Director. He is also ordained through the Messianic Jewish Rabbinical Council.
He spent seven years employed in Jewish education with TKU and MJBI, and taught at the Messianic Studies Program at WSTS in Warsaw, Poland in 2019 and 2020. He and his wife were previously active members of Congregation Shomrei Torah of Scottsdale, AZ. He assumed leadership at Adat B’rit in Fountain Valley, CA in April of 2018-August of 2024. He is currently the Senior Rabbi at Beit Immanuel Messianic Synagogue in Huntsville, TX.
Lonnie and Jeanne are the parents of daughters Rylie [Scott] and Jessica, and proud grandparents of six boys.
CANTOR JEANNE BRADSHAW
Certified Cantor
Cantor Jeanne grew up in Minneapolis, and earned her BS in Animal Science in 1986 with a minor in Biology. She met her future husband Lonnie there in 1985, and they were married in 1987. She obtained her Master’s Certificate in Cantorial Arts from MJTI in 2015, and was the Cantor at Adat B’rit in Fountain Valley, CA from 2018-2024. She is currently employed as Cantor of Beit Immanuel Messianic Synagogue in Huntsville, TX.
One of Cantor Jeanne’s greatest joys is teaching others how to chant synagogue liturgy and to chant for Torah service.
She and her husband, Lonnie, were previously active members of Congregation Shomrei Torah of Scottsdale, AZ.
Maria Estrella "Ella" Hernaez is one of the founders of Beit Immanuel Messianic Synagogue. Ella is a supporter of the State of Israel as well as Jewish organizations such the Hadassah Hospital, The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, and provided toys and children's school supplies in 2007 to a Jewish orphanage through an outreach program of Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue.
In 1982, Ella attended Capernwray Bible School in Sweden and shared the teachings of Yeshua with high school students. She had opportunities to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) in British curriculum among Mongolians, Russians, and Korean college students at the International Language Institute in Mongolia in 2010. Ella also taught in a mission school in So. Korea from 2010-2012.
In 2003, Ella completed her Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies at The School of Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA. From 2018 to the present, Ella has served as an online Torah study leader.
